This listing is for a vintage Geisha (Geiko) doll wearing a stunning kimono. She is mounted on a black stand and contained within a shadow box. She is holding a Japanese drum, called a kotsuzumi or tsuzumi and her box contains a wooden sign with Japanese characters, and a full size Japanese fan. She is in beautiful condition and it doesn't appear that she's ever been out of her box. The shadow box measures 21" H x 12.5" W x 10.5" D. The geisha stands at 18" tall.
This piece was purchased from the estate of a Senior United States Diplomat, who has been stationed all over the world. I am happy to share more about its provenance with the individual who purchases this gorgeous doll.
